Ask and you shall receive, I guess...

Well, maybe I spoke too soon... The LEGO Education NXT blog has posted an updated pricing list... check it out here.

Let's try this one: Hey LEGO - how about some info on expansion packs (can't hurt to try, right?)

Too bad the prices of the sensor went up the hill... They all where 15 dollars before....

So... Dont ask for anything from lego anymore ;)

Where and when will all these wonderful gadgets available? Is (or will be) there an education online shop (which has escaped me yet)? Will they deliver to Europe also?

Are there some links one can inspect details to the items on the price list (for instance, what is this "Transformer" gizmo)?

Questions questions questions...

Lego Education does have a store online.

European availability ... I think LEGO use local distributors of educational accessories.

Certainly for the UK I will be watching for the NXT accessories to appear on the Active Robots web shop.

Matthias,

Here's the link to the transformer:

It's actually just an AC Adapter for the RCX.

The adaptor is the smae as all the Lego 9V adaptors, I have one from an older train set so I will not be forced to buy a $25 ac adaptor. You can also just go to a electronics staore and get a muiltipurpous adaptor that will work.

Lego shop online (US) has added the rechargeable batteries and battery charger. http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=55&d=11&t=5

I'm bummed that the rachargables only fit on the NXT. At least that's the impression I'm getting (I hope not, I want one for my RCX)
The price jack is disapionting.

Hi Matthias,

> Will they deliver to Europe also?

It seems so. I made an order that was accepted without problem. Waiting August for delivery ;o)

Note on the AC adaptor: lego lightening mentioned that you could use a generic multipurpose adaptor purchased at an electronics store. Keep in mind that the LEGO adaptor outputs AC, *NOT* DC as almost all wall transformers here in the States do. Check first, as both the RCX (& apparently the NXT) require AC input, not DC (in theory at least, DC should work... but you risk burning out half of the bridge rectifier that is in the RCX).
