New puzzle on the RIF site...

Over at www.rifagent.com, it appears that a new puzzle has been added. It took me about 30 minutes but I figured it out (both parts)... a fun one. I have to admit, this RIF thing has got my attention... maybe Poe or the persons responsible for this website can provide some more background on the RIF and how it is tied to the NXT.

Yes, I've wondered about that for some time now indeed.
Admittedly it's fun and may deserve attention - but I'd really like to know about the connection to the NXT that would grant it such a prominent role on a blog dedicated to the NXT as it obviously plays presently.
For the time being, it appears to be a crypto-puzzle only, doesn't it?

Ok, this has (almost) nothing to do whit the NXT to do but I just want to say that i was on a one-day trip to Germany in my summer vecation this summer and i was also on a visit to Legoland in Billund,Denmark. And at the Mindstorms Shop I got to try out Alpha Rex :-D and i also bougth my first Mindstorms ever:-D (It was the RCX becouse they don`t start to sell the NXT until mid. October and thats why I think I am Lucky becouse the NXT starts selling on September 1st! :-D 12 days left, and still counting down!

Well, Matthias... without giving too much away, there is information to be found if one continues to solve the puzzles that they keep adding... the latest one does fill in some holes and I understand (I think) what they are trying to do... and it appears that the NXT plays an important part in the rif.

I can't say more because I don't want to ruin the surprise if others are trying to solve the puzzles...

The puzzle that we're allowed to post the solution for today is on the far left side of the rifagent.com site... you can either use the TAB button to find it or hover the mouse in the general are to find the spot that causes it to display.

There are two columns of 4-letter words. Try playing with the pairs by ignoring certain letters... which ones? Use some letters and discard others... there IS a pattern... remember, "Yes and No" is for the 1st column and "On and Off" is for the 2nd column.

The pattern will spell out the clue...
