NXT Car v2.0

Josh and Josiah have recently revamped their NXT Car, adding some new cosmetics and higher gearing, to make the "NeXT Ferrari" (my own name). It came out looking awesome!

I see the Brick inside (I think), but does the car really work? How is it controlled? I don't see any sensors, so unless Bluetooth is used to control it, I'm just curious how well it works. Great design, by the way.

Oops... I see the Ultrasonic, so nevermind :)

Still... great work.
Yep, it does work. They don't have any videos up yet, though.

Looks thrilling.
Yet, how much of this design is done by the makers, and what is from of a ready-made LEGO set? There are some very special parts that seem to hail from some kind of Ferrari/Sportscar set. Do they?

It has two motors (one for the drive and one for the rack-and-pinion), plus it has the US sensor on the front, a light sensor nestled up front for line following, and a bumper on the back.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes they do. They come from the Ferrari 1:10 set. It was on LEGO for half-price a while ago.

As Maniac said, it has two motors, one for turning and one to make the car go. There is a light sensor in the front and a sound sensor and touch sensor in the back.
