I don't think that this is a big problem to holding back OS fw. I am working on an OS firmware to support the Lejos and am making reasonable progress. At this stage I have code running on the NXT, I can read the AVR and get the battery voltage etc. At this stage there is only one vital bit of information I am missing which is further info on exactly what to write to the AVR over I2C. Otherwise, all the information is in place to get this puppy humming.
