More details on NXT and FTC
Some more information was made available over at http://www.firsttechchallenge.blogspot.com/ regarding how the NXT will be used in the FTC challenge - looks like HiTechnic is developing something specifically geared towards bridging the NXT and more advanced servos (and sensors).
Right now, the big discussion seems to be centering on teams having to purchase new equipment (and more expensive, apparently). There doesn't seem to be a firm answer on whether VEX will still be supported (allowed) in FTC competition.

NXT as a brain in a new-overpowered VEX like body? (is that the way to go?)
The movie still looks like a VEX remote controlled model, instead of a real brian-controlled one.
I wonder what their intention is?
BattleBots - DestructionBots ?
I sure love the ideas, behind the LEGO based robots, it triggers kids to think and build solid constructions.
I hope that Fist will stick to their great LEGO league.

Should be interesting to see what is finally produced though...
And are we positive this isn't some sort of elaborate hoax?

True, but you have to remember that there's only one of me, and a limited number of robots I can simultaneously control.
