How Do You Use Your NXT Books?

There are now 22 books on the market that cover some aspect of the NXT.

What innovative uses have you found for your NXT books?

How have you gone beyond a book's actual instructions and plans to create something new and different, something that goes beyond what a particular book intends to teach?

I've used the legs of the "Omni-Biped" in Creating Cool Mindstorms NXT Robots to combine with the upper half of Alpha Rex to make a MUCH better version of Alpha that actually walks and turns very well. I just got this book so its all I've used it for so far, but it looks like it'll be very helpful in learning NXC.

I own a few NXT books. What I do is I build the robot in the book and then I try to build my own robot that can do the same task. I also like to use them to learn more about programming my robots. By the way I own the book written by the contributers to this blog and I really like it. Keep up the good work!
