NXT whac-a-mole - Part 1

The NXTLog has a new competition as Richard blogged last week. We have not entered a robot since our Wall-e won a NXTLog challenge last year.

However, the new competition is really challenging - the brief is to use two NXT kits - and this weekend we started working on the creation that is the biggest robot that we ever built and uses 2 NXT, 6 motors and 7 sensors.

This is as far as I got so far:

Anyone want to guess what I am building?

Edit: Well done to Jonathan and Joshua for guessing it right. It is going to be a Whac-a-mole.

Woah... that isn't going to be a 12-cylinder car, is it?

LOL. Jonathan.
Well done for spotting the cylinder heads in the design.
But No. It is not a V-12 engine.
Hmm... one of those arcade games where you whack the gophers/frogs/critters that pop up and down? :P

Whac-A-Mole would be awesome. They had a machine at the World Festival Finale in 2007 and I set the high score for the night (980) :)

It's hard to tell. I see that the touch sensors spin on a rotational access...

A bulldozer perhaps?

I think it's going to be...

Something tank like cause you need to move those touch sensors.

You guys are amazing.

Well done to Jonathon and Joshua your guesses are really good.

Joshua, was the machine that you played with in World Festival Finale based on NXT?

P.S. I am sorry to people who can not post a message anonomously - due to the problem with the Word verification not showing up.

No, unfortunately. It was a real Whac-A-Mole machine ^_^

I have yet to see one made from lego, but I haven't really looked either.

Wait a minute... I was right?! Lol, that guess was only a joke. :P
