At my first team meeting, I will explain the "easter egg" on the mat to the team since they will not know the inner workings of FLL. However, I will have them search for the secret messages (I see two). I don't think they will understand them, but I will tell them to research at home and then tell me what they think they mean at the next meeting. I'll have some sort of prize for correct answers.

If you comment on this, please don't give away the secrets!

I am a parent volunteer and ours is a rookie FLL team. I know what "easter eggs" are but can't seem to relate it to FLL mat. I know nothing about the iner workings of the FLL either. What are the secret messages and how are they related to this year's challenge. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi I am a team member,
I have not figured out the Easter Egg, but I think I have found the messages, I will give a hint, connect the little dots (they are very small, about the size of a period) in and in front of the research area of the mat(The big white corner model)
