Is it me or did I see a dragster competition? Well, how fast can that dragster go? (in mph)

That's right. Chapter four is all about this challenge. You might want to wait till Chris blogs about his chapter, but give him a break, he's in Houston.
Yep, it's "The NXT Step's Dragster Challenge - Starter Series". It's a fun chapter engaging participants in a standardized racing activity. It encourages competitive design beyond the book's dragster and provides many ideas and helpful learning aspects to spark a desire driving the creative use of one's own mind and NXT kit.

I know there are 'a few' NXT dragsters out-there and I would like to place a statement here just for the mass public record...The NXT Dragster detailed in this book was completed in August/September 2006 (Before NXTLOG existed).

I will not spill anymore beans for a while. I'm still limited on time while recovering from hurricane IKE and will post more about this chapter later.

Is this book also compatible with the new Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0? 'Cause my aunt asked what i wanted for Christmas and because i'm getting my NXT 2.0 normally on saturday I was looking for a book with some nice extra models. Maybe some other tips?

No, this book is written for the 1.0 kit - if you want to build these robots, you'll likely need to by the 1.0-to-2.0 upgrade kit.
